Chałka - Polish Challah
Sweet braided egg bread, Polish version of challah. Rich and tender, perfect for sandwiches or French toast. Sunday breakfast tradition.

Ingredients
- 500 g Flour
- 200 ml Milk
- 3 eggs Eggs
- 80 g Sugar
- 80 g Butter
- 15 g Yeast
Instructions
Make sweet yeast dough, rise 90 min.
Divide into 3 strands.
Braid loosely.
Rise 40 min.
Brush with egg.
Bake at 180°C for 35 min until golden.
💡 Tips & Variations
Brush with egg for shiny crust. Don't braid too tight. Makes excellent French toast next day.
