Sernik - Polish Cheesecake
Poland's most beloved dessert - creamy cheesecake made with farmer's cheese. Dense, rich texture unlike American cheesecake. Essential for every celebration.

Ingredients
- 1 kg Farmer's cheese
- 6 eggs Eggs
- 250 g Sugar
- 150 g Butter
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 lemon Lemon zest
- 3 tbsp Potato starch
Instructions
Beat egg yolks with sugar until fluffy.
Mix in cheese, melted butter, vanilla, lemon zest.
Fold in starch and beaten egg whites.
Pour into springform pan.
Bake at 160°C for 75 min.
Cool in oven with door cracked.
💡 Tips & Variations
Don't open oven during baking. Cool slowly to prevent cracking. Best after refrigerated overnight.
