Szarlotka - Polish Apple Pie
Classic Polish apple cake with shortcrust pastry and cinnamon apples. Simpler than American apple pie, utterly delicious. Served warm with whipped cream.

Ingredients
- 400 g Flour
- 250 g Butter
- 150 g Sugar
- 2 eggs Eggs
- 1 1/2 kg Apples
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
Instructions
Make pastry from flour, butter, sugar, eggs.
Chill 30 min.
Peel and slice apples, mix with cinnamon and sugar.
Press 2/3 dough in pan, add apples.
Grate remaining dough on top.
Bake at 180°C for 50 min.
💡 Tips & Variations
Use tart apples like Granny Smith. Grated topping creates unique texture. Serve warm or cold.
