Grochówka - Split Pea Soup
Hearty Polish split pea soup with smoked sausage. Thick, warming, and filling. Traditional army soup now beloved family meal. Perfect for cold winter days.

Ingredients
- 500 g Yellow split peas
- 400 g Smoked sausage
- 3 medium Potatoes
- 2 medium Carrots
- 150 g Celery root
- 1 large Onion
Instructions
Soak peas overnight.
Cook peas in 2L water 60 min until soft.
Add diced vegetables, cook 20 min.
Add sliced sausage, cook 10 min.
Season with marjoram.
Serve with crusty bread.
💡 Tips & Variations
Soup thickens as it sits - add water when reheating. Tastes better next day.
